that is called the “Rashomon effect”
You’re very informed! I had to check the definition as I didn’t know it. You’re right again.:)
i have to know it as i am studying Linguistics and Literature. And i speak English as L2.
Lucky you, you are a native speaker in two languages. The L1?
Bisaya, a dialect in the Philippines. I speak 3 language: that is Filipino, Bisaya, and English. I attempted to learn Japanese but I only know the very basic.
You’re even luckier! I wouldn’t suggest Greek, my L1 (and I’m not a native speaker in English (sniff..)
Really. I was looking at your surname and I inferred that it aint an american surname. lol that is cool! I love Medea, Iliad, The Odyssey, Oedipus Rex, and Electra. And hope you don’t mind, but I see Greece the way I see it in myths and Homeric poems.
Reality in Greece is far from the ideal described in ancient scripts, only the conflicts and the eternal hope still remain…
conflicts? Like what? Do you like Greek literature?
Political conflicts mainly. I’ve studied English literature at the university but I didn’t enjoy it much (apart from the American literature and the metaphysical poets).
I don’t like just reading lines but I enjoy the visualised poems or when they are recited by beautiful voices. My students enjoy poetry in this way.
